March brings us two big occasions this month – Mother’s Day and Easter! We’ve collated a list of events and attractions to visit in Norfolk this March, to help you plan your activities and make the most of our beautiful county…
5th March – Clean for the Queen at Holkham Hall
Holkham nature reserve are holding a Clean for the Queen event to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday. This is a nationwide campaign created by Country Life Magazine and Keep Britain Tidy. All you need to do is turn up at 10am for the morning session or 2pm for the afternoon session – plus, complementary refreshments are provided for everyone taking part in the clean!
5th – 6th March – Snowdrop Walks at Oxburgh Hall
Whether you fancy a leisurely stroll on your own, or a guided walk, the woodlands at Oxburgh Hall are the perfect location to admire carpets of snowdrops, aconites and other spring flowers.
6th March – Mother’s Day Special Boat Trip at Broads Tours
Broads Tours, based in Wroxham, are holding a special Mother’s Day boat trip. Mums can enjoy a nice glass of wine, whilst cruising down the broads, listening to a live commentary and seeing the wonderful wildlife.
6th March – Mothering Sunday Walk at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden
Every mother receives a primrose this Mother’s Day at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden. Why not treat your mum to a guided walk amongst the wild primrose, skunk cabbage and daffodils in the beautiful spring woodland?
6th March – Mother’s VIP Day at Bure Valley Railway
Bure Valley Railway are running a special train and lunch package this Mother’s Day, departing from Wroxham – complete with complementary drink and two-course lunch on arrival. Plus, every mother receives a gift!

The Spring Exhibition at Bircham Gallery, Holt, is exhibiting work from artists Elaine Cos, Helen Terry, and Stephanie Stow.
10th – 17th March – Norwich Fashion Week
The nearby city of Norwich hold its very own fashion week with many events taking place including shows by Dipple and Conway, Mercedes-Benz, the Museum of Norwich, John Lewis, Jarrold, BIG C, intu Chapelfield, Castle Mall, Lancome, Topshop and much more!
12th March – Derek Acorah at Pavilion Theatre at Cromer Pier
TV Psychic Derek Acorah is coming to Cromer Pier for his brand new “Soul Reunion Tour” – a forerunner in the field of spiritual and paranormal matters!
14th March – Willow Weaving Workshops at Oxburgh Hall
Learn the ancient craft of willow weaving with Oxburgh Hall’s Outdoors Team – all you need to bring is an apron, thin gloves and secateurs!
19th March – Family Race Night with a twist at The Great Barn
Norfolk Hospice are holding a charity Family Race Night at The Great Barn at Manor Mews, Tattersett. This includes a fish & chip supper and great prizes!
25TH – 28TH March – Deepdale Spring Market
Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale are holding a Spring Market for the Easter Weekend.
25th March – 10th April – Easter Eggsplorer Trail at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserve
Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserve are holding an Easter egg trail amongst the magical wildlife. The family trail runs throughout the Easter holiday – follow clues, take part in challenges, and win prizes!
25th – 28th March – Easter Eggspress at Bure Valley Railway
Bure Valley Railway are giving away a free Easter egg for every child that takes part in this special Easter train ride from Aylsham and Wroxham.
25th March – 10th April Pensthorpe Easter Eggstravagansa
Make your way around the park on this self-guided trail, finding out about the enchanting species that inhabit the natural world. Also why not have a go at WildRootz – suitable for any ages!
25th – 28th March – Easter at Holkham
Holkham are holding four days of exciting Easter fun – including: the Holkham Easter Rabbit, chocolate eggs, Easter decorations, Kiddy Cook team, riddles, farming exhibition, crafts, story-telling, games, and much more!
25TH March – 10th April – Foolhardy Circus Easter 2016 Show at Wroxham Barns
The steam punk time-travelling Foolhardy Circus are coming to Wroxham Barns this Easter with a fun-packed show including a flea circus, diablo wizardry, music, juggling and much, much more…
27th March – Easter on the Pier at Pavilion Theatre at Cromer Pier
The Pavilion Theatre at Cromer Pier are celebrating Easter Sunday with craft making activities, Easter treats, an Easter Trail for children, competitions and much more.
